Maternity shoot

It was a beautiful summers evening in Woodend for this gorgeous maternity shoot. This is the lovely Lucy rocking her baby bump at 37 weeks.

We did actually plan to do the shoot a little earlier but there was a bit of a hold up with the dress…or dresses in this case that Lucy ordered online. She wanted two incase one didn’t fit or look the way she envisaged.

She couldn’t decide which one to wear, each dress is different so we decided to shoot both! why not, right?Lucy ended up with such a diverse set of beautiful and unique images, best decision ever!

So when is the best time for a maternity shoot you might ask?

I would recommend somewhere between 32 and 36 weeks into your pregnancy. We want to make sure you have a good sized baby bump to show off in your photos while not leaving it too late in-case bub decides to surprise you with an early arrival.

Lucy’s natural confidence in front of the camera made my job pretty easy I have to say! Of course everyone is different and some people may feel a little awkward and shy in front of a camera and that is totally ok - I know I do!

As your photographer I am here to guide you, to make you feel comfortable and relaxed during your shoot. You will barely even notice me clicking away :)

If you are thinking about booking a maternity session please get in touch and I will happily answer any questions you may have.
